Counselling is a form of 'talk therapy'. It is a process where an individual meet with a trained professional counsellor to talk about issues and problems that they are facing in their lives. Good counselling should reduce the client's confusion, allowing them to make effective decisions leading to positive changes in their attitude and/or behaviour

Counseling aims at helping the clients understand and accept themselves “as they are”, and counseling is to help the student to help himself. . The ultimate aim of counselling is to enable the client to make their own choices, reach their own decisions and act upon them.
