M.Pharm Pharmaceutics

Program Outcomes

  • PO.1 Pharmacy Knowledge: Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy, including biomedical sciences; pharmaceutical sciences; behavioural, social, and administrative pharmacy sciences; and manufacturing practices.

 

  • PO.2 Modern Tool Usage: Learn, select, and apply appropriate methods and procedures, resources, and modern pharmacy-related computing      tools with an understanding of the limitations.

 

  • PO.3 Leadership Skills: Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfilment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles when appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and wellbeing.

 

  • PO.4 Communication: Communicate effectively with the pharmacy community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations  and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.

 

  • PO.5 The Pharmacist and Society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety and legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional pharmacy practice.

Program Specific Outcomes

  • PSO.1 To gain knowledge and technical skill to perform In-vitro and In-vivo studies, and professional training to the students to work on drug compounds and develop new medications based on research.

 

  • PSO.2 Understand, apply, cellular and molecular pharmacology, pathophysiology to the pharmacotherapy of certain diseases and mechanism of drug actions.

 

  • PSO.3 Understand, appreciate and apply concepts about various aspects of regulations and ethical requirement for the usage of experimental animals, CPCSEA guidelines for laboratory animal facilities, and toxicity studies and to create a talent pool by involving

 

  • PSO.4 Understand, appreciate and apply concepts of principles of drug discovery, clinical research and pharmacovigilance, research methodology & biostatistics systematically in research.

Eligibility

Minimum eligibility qualification is graduate degree (B. Pharm.) in the pharmaceutical field, from a recognized university/college, for admission into the Masters of Pharmacy [M.Pharm.] course in any college.

A minimum aggregate score of 60% at the graduate level is also necessary. A GPAT exam score provides preference to choose the best college in India. The cut-off percentage of marks differs as per the University/College.
