Governing Body

Governing body of NCP consists of 10 members headed by Msgr. Dr. Pius Malekandathil (Manager). It includes six members nominated by the Board of Trustees and nominated members. The governing body is elected for a period of three years. It meets periodically in a year to assess the performance of the institution and to plan future developmental activities.

Functions of the governing body:


       (i)  To determine the teaching requirement of the college.

(ii) To monitor and evaluate the teaching programmes in the college and suggest remedial measures with assistance from an Advisory Committee

(iii) To appoint the Principal / Director, the teaching and non-teaching staff with the help of selection committees constituted under the relevant regulations of the University.

(iv) To constitute the advisory committee.

(iv) To monitor faculty deployment and development, placement and industry-institute interaction activities in the institute/college and suggest remedial measures wherever necessary.

      (v) To perform such other duties and exercise such other powers as may be entrusted by the management and the University.

 Frequency of meeting: once/year or when necessary.
